Reference Animals

Animals that are no longer with us for one reason or another but are responsible for some genes in our current animals.

“Richard”

This rooster came with our original flock, but was too defensive over the run(i.e. charging us when entering the area), so we gave him to a friend who has a free range flock and he is living a more relaxed life there.

4MFVT Sunny Ruby Rosalie

The mother of one of our two Alpine lines, a large bodied doe with a sunny personality, Rosie will always be missed.

4MFVT Coyote

Our other Alpine starter doe, Coyote was never the most dairy goat in the ring, but she had a solid structure and a strong maternal instinct that I’m happy to see was passed down to her two doe kids.
